In March, 2004, in cooperation with the World Heart Foundation, a three member team visit was made to the Tanzania Heart Foundation in Dar-Es-Sallan Salaam, Tanzania (see Letter below). Three open heart operations were successfully performed.  Future collaboration includes a 20 foot container of equipment and supplies for their new Cardiac Surgery Unit.

In January 2011 a two week trip to Dar es Salaam was made to the Tanzania Heart Institute.
 A program of teaching and evaluation of the institute was made.
